The Brass Band Fröschl Hall, the oldest of its kind in Austria, was founded by Hannes Buchegger at the end of the 1980s. From the beginning, the aim was to emulate the typical (English) sound ideal for this instrumentation and to present brass music at the highest level. Intensive rehearsals with excellent brass players and percussionists, the lively handling of as many musical styles as possible in the incomparable brass sound and the high level soon led to great popularity of the ensemble. Numerous CD recordings and competition victories at the European Championships in Montreux, London, Kerkrade and Munich within the 'Challenge Section' testify to this. The band's greatest national achievement was winning the National Brass Band Competition in 2017 and subsequently competing at the European Brass Band Championships at the highest level in Utrecht. After more than 25 years, Hannes Buchegger handed over the musical direction to Joe Laube, the band's house and court arranger. Since 2017, the Brass Band Fröschl Hall has been conducted by Corsin Tuor from Switzerland. The band's prosperous development has been and continues to be made possible by the generous financial and idealistic support of the Fröschl family of building contractors from Hall and the town of Hall.
